History
Sindhis are a community originally from Sindh, which is now in Pakistan.  Sindh has been known as a beautiful land, rich in natural resources. Once the owners of the rich province of Sindh, they had to sacrifice everything and leave their home in the aftermath of the Partition & moved to India.
As refugee, they have experienced very hard time and feelings of losing their own belongings and wealth at Sindh. It keeps them alert in doing something and earning out of whatever they have. Therefore, they never deviate from their focus.
Guided by their sharp business acumen and adaptability, Sindhis have braved the Partition, fled from one nation to another and weathered ups and downs in the economy to set up some of the biggest companies in the world
Why they are different
1-Sindhis are self-reliant:-Sindhis do not seek any support from others. In most Sindhi families, they do not prefer public sector jobs due to their business mindset. They are exposed to the family business from childhood itself, creating in them business aspirations at an early age. Sons were expected to earn even while they were studying—what is now known as ‘to shadow’.
2-Most of them had not been to Harvard Business School but they understood that the key to business success is to directly address the customers’ need, and they rebuilt their fortunes by doing precisely that:
3-They never rely on one source of income - they always support there low cost business with other profitable business.
4-They Save Money wherever possible - no matter how much rich A Sindhi would be - he will always care for every penny he spend.
What differ them from other communities?
Always down to earth
First they work hard and they are not ashamed of doing their work. Every job in business is dignified for them. They don’t feel ashamed in cleaning their shop and don’t need an assistant for them. And all start from there.
Never say die attitude
One will see that they continued in their race towards making the big bucks, not letting their failures dictate their next step. “They are constantly moving forward despite all hardships and geographical factors.

They believed in sacrificing profit for large turnovers.
On business side they take risk and don’t mind working on thin margin to build business. They usually believe in business of high turnover and less margin but eventually earn good profits & in the process they earn lot of new customers and get new areas to excel business
For example- if shops around them sold sugar for Re 1 per kg in bags of 50 kg, Sindhi businessmen would buy the same and sell them at 99 paise a kg. Their price being 1 paise cheaper and thus sold hundreds of bags making a loss of 50 paise per 50 kg bag.
This made people wonder about why somebody would work so hard to lose money. But what they did not realize was that every time the Sindhi sold an empty bag, he made a net profit of 50 paise on every 50 kg bag of sugar.
Building customer base
They are polite to their customers and they service them well. They invest in relationship building, any Sindhi Business you got to see - you can ask them how many of their customers are older than 10 or 20 years - you will be amaze to see 80% of their customers would be decade old or more. They are usually patient salesperson and they demonstrate products well to customers and pay them undivided attention.
They always have eye for opportunity
Lastly they have eye for opportunity and they don’t hesitate in taking risks. Many Sindhis use their intelligence in ways that few would even imagine and thus get out of situations that might render them bankrupt.
Summary
Given their history, there is certainly no doubt that Sindhis are dedicated, hardworking and disciplined. They were primarily businessmen and traders. they always put in their efforts to achieve their goal. The manner in which Sindhis have established themselves in various walks of life and society irrespective of trying environments after their migration to India in 1947 speaks of this distinct quality of Sindhis. They did not depend upon the begging bowl and instead worked hard and found new moorings.
